// THE TIDE - YOUNG LOVE // REVIEW //

The Tide are a pop band from LA, and to be honest, I didn't really know anything much about them until recently. The main reason I checked them out was because they're touring with The Vamps. But, now that we're done with my confessional, let's get on to the song...

Both the song and video seem pretty basic at first, if you know what I mean. The song seems targeted at a young audience, full of hope and drive.

Lyrically, I didn't connect much in the beginning, for some reason. However, the chorus is lively and energetic.

As said before, it was exactly what one would expect from this end of the music-spectrum. Until...

The bridge.

The bridge is something that is very important to me in songs, and this one is absolutely beautiful.
For me, it is what transformed this song from average to actually good.

The song embraces the rush and unapologetic nature of youthful love. It fittingly conveys both the uncertainities and belief in one's ideals.

Needless to say, this song is definitely worth checking out.
